The short version
No ads. No selling data. We count visits with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which is cookieless and doesn’t track you across sites. We keep only what’s needed to run the directory.
Sign in with X
If you sign in with X, we get read-only access and store your X user id, handle, display name and avatar URL. We use them only to tie your votes and submissions to your account and to show who you are when signed in. If you’re a listed creator, your X profile picture is also shown on your creator page. We serve it from meetmybot.ai, so visitors’ browsers don’t contact X for it. We don’t store your X access token after sign-in, we never post for you, and we don’t read your posts or DMs.
Creator waitlist
If you join the waitlist with X, we store your X handle, display name, profile picture URL, the time you joined, and referral info (your invite code, who invited you, how many people joined with your link, and whether you tapped Follow or Share). We use it only to manage early access and the list order.
What we store
- Your votes (“I use this”) and the bots they’re for.
- Submissions, claim or removal requests, and reports you send, including any notes or contact details you choose to include.
- Simple counts on listings (for example how often “Try this bot” or “Share” is tapped, or how often the connector recommends a bot). These counts aren’t tied to you.
- Daily counts of connector tool calls (for example how many searches ran). We don’t store what was searched.
- To prevent abuse, we briefly keep a scrambled (hashed) version of your IP address to count submissions, votes and connector calls. It can’t be turned back into your IP and is deleted within about two hours.
- When a bot is submitted, we read its public X post and its public Grok Bot share page to fill in the listing.
Cookies
We use a minimal set of first-party cookies, all HttpOnly and Secure:
- mmb_user: keeps you signed in (30 days).
- mmb_oauth: a short-lived cookie (10 minutes) used only during sign-in.
- mmb_ref: remembers the invite code from a friend’s waitlist link (up to 7 days), so they get credit when you join. Cleared once you join.
- mmb_vid: an anonymous vote id from before sign-in existed. No longer used for new votes.
- mmb_s: an access cookie used only by the curator while the site is in private preview.
No advertising or analytics cookies.
Original X posts
Each listing links to the creator’s original X post. Bot pages can show the original X post. It only loads from X when you tap Show the post, and X may then set its own cookies under X’s privacy policy. Until you tap, no X content or scripts load on our pages. If you follow a link to X, X’s own privacy policy applies there.
Hosting
The site runs on Cloudflare, which processes standard request data (like IP addresses) to deliver and protect the service.
Visit counts
Public pages load Cloudflare Web Analytics, a privacy-first script that counts page views, referring sites and rough location (country) and measures page speed. It sets no cookies, doesn’t fingerprint you and isn’t used for ads or to follow you across sites.
Deleting your account
You can delete your account anytime from My bots. This removes your listings, votes and the profile info we saved from X; we keep only what’s needed to keep removed bots from being listed again.
