How to add a Grok Bot template
Adding a Grok Bot template takes a minute: you open the creator’s share link and make your own copy. Here’s how to do it from meetmybot, from a link someone sent you, or by asking a bot to find one, plus how to list a bot you made or manage one that’s already listed.
Step 0
Check three things before you add one
A Grok Bot template is a Grok Bot its creator shared as a link. Adding it gives you your own copy, so it’s worth a minute to check it fits:
- What it does. Read the summary and the “What it does” list on the bot page.
- What it needs. “What you need” lists the connectors it uses, like email or a calendar. Plenty need none.
- Who made it. The listing credits the creator and links the original X post.
A minute here saves you from connecting an account you didn’t mean to, or adding a bot that does half of what you wanted.
The usual way
Add a template from meetmybot
- Open a listingPick a bot from a job page, a category or a search. For example, Bot My Meals.
- Check what it needsLook at “What you need” on the bot page.
- Tap Add to Grok BotUse Add to Grok Bot ↗ on a card, or Try this bot ↗ on the bot page. It opens the creator’s share link on x.ai in a new tab.
- Make your copyFollow the steps there to open it in Grok and make your own copy. Then connect anything it listed under “What you need”.
A bot with no share link yet says so on its page. There is nothing to add until the creator shares one.
Hands-off
Let Meet My Bot find one for you
You can skip the browsing. Add the Meet My Bot template once, then ask it for a job. It replies with matching bots, each with its meetmybot page link and the creator’s credit. Open the one you like and tap Add to Grok Bot.
Tell it what you need and it finds the right Grok Bot for the job from the meetmybot.ai directory, with the creator's link and credit.
Find me a Grok Bot that keeps track of my billsPrefer to keep one bot? Add the meetmybot connector to the Grok Bot you already use and ask it the same way.
Next
After you add it
- Connect what it needs. Most bots tell you on the first chat which connector is missing.
- Start small. Give it one real task and see how it does before you lean on it.
- Make it yours. Your copy is yours to change. Tell it about your household, your stack or your schedule.
- Get the newest version. When a creator shares an update, the listing shows “Recently updated”. Add the new version to pick up the changes.
More than one
Add a few, one job each
Templates stack well. One bot plans the week’s meals, another keeps an eye on bills, another sorts your inbox. Add them one at a time and give each its own job, so it’s always clear which bot to ask for what. If two bots end up doing the same job, keep the one you actually use.
Not sure where to start? Best Grok Bots by job shows the most-used template for each job.
Found one you like and want to pass it on? Share its meetmybot page rather than the bare link. The page says what the bot does and what it needs, credits the creator, and has the Add to Grok Bot button.

Get your own template listed
Built a Grok Bot that does one job well? Copy its share link (the one starting with x.ai/bot) and share it. There are two ways onto meetmybot:
Post the link from your own account and mention @luisbarragan. New bot posts are found by their link and sent to review. No sign-in needed.
Sign in with X (read-only, nothing is ever posted for you), paste your original X post or the share link, and confirm the bot is yours.
Open the submit formEvery submission gets a quality check before it goes live. Your listing credits you and links back to your original X post, and listing costs nothing.
Already listed?
Manage a listing that’s yours
Some bots are listed from public X posts, with credit to the creator. If one is yours, open your bot’s page on meetmybot and tap “Your bot? Sign in to see its stats”. If your X account matches the credited creator, it’s yours right away. Otherwise we check the credit first. Once it’s yours you can see its stats, edit its details, or hide it and show it again anytime.
